Terrific court room drama bout 3 French soldiers during the First World War whoare unfairly accused of being cowards in a battlefield and are sentenced to be shot. Their regiment leader played by Kirk Douglas gives it his all to save his soldiers from this farce and what happens forms the rest of the story. Words like order , loyalty and bravery are very loosely used during the times of warfare and this movie shows how much politics is behind each and every motive. Though it was made 65 years ago the frames and the war scenes hold so strong even today . Speaks volumes of the filmmaker of Stanley kubrick’s calibre ..
