brilliant performance, she was the heart and soul of this movie throughout. She takes the movie by the throat, hooks the audience and ends on a note that is so satisfying and full of warmth. Gena portrays a character of theatre actress who is spiralled into a sense of existence, depressed and often hysterical because of how her life is both on stage and off stage was shaping up. You cannot pinpoint or categorise the movie into one genre or formula. This is a movie which is cleverly constructed and challenges different genres all in one creating effective psychological contemporary drama. I really love how the last scene goes one, totally improvised, goofy and full of humour in a movie where we see a troubled actress struggling to come to own terms as she ages, unloved, unmarried and unvalued. It is very layered character exploration that is weird, raw and ragged portrait of an actress on the verge of anxiety and identity crisis and also a beautiful film about theatre life ever made.
