Was able to find and watch the 3 hour director cut , this is based on the novel

by the same name it tells the story of a writer ( doing odd jobs to meet ends meet ) named zorg and Betty and mostly cover their journey with one achieving the goal they were looking for ( their rise ) and the other meeting with a tragedy ( their fall ) . Shot beautifully but this does have a pacing problem .
