The god Indra's daughter descends to earth to experience firsthand people's living conditions. Bergman's first staging of Strindberg's play "Ett drömspel" ( Dream Play).

My 35 th Bergman and one after ages
I really get why he chose to render
Strindberg’s work ( nihilism , human misery , naiveness )
But I feel the plot is more suited for the theatre and Turing this into a movie really undermines the story nevertheless a good try .
The only way to summarise this is by quoting Nietzsche - “ God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him .
