While considering how Brian De Palma improved this film, I wonder if his
ability to create suspense out of seemingly nowhere had not been present, the film might have been a letdown for sure. However, as a slow-burn thriller, the way he gradually unveiled everything in the final minutes is what brought the film to life. I believe this is where Brian De Palma truly saved the whole film.
