The Pacific is a 2010 American war drama miniseries produced by Steven
Spielberg & Tom Hanks in association with HBO (10 Episodes).
The series is a companion piece to the 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers and focuses on the United States Marine Corps's actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations within the wider Pacific War.
The Pacific is the best war drama series I have seen since Band of Brothers.
Without merely glorifying the battlefields, the horrors of war and the mental and physical traumas of the soldiers are beautifully discussed and shown.
The highlight of this mini series is Hans Zimmer's excellent background music and realistic battle scenes with excellent production design.
