Khaaka Khaaka is one of my all-time favourite films directed by Gautham Menon.
I rarely watch remakes or bilingual versions of his films, but I found Gharshana enjoyable. But, it isn't as great as the original, primarily because the villain isn't as compelling as in the original version. I also miss the bonding between Suriya and Balaji in this remake, which I consider two major flaws of Gharshana. Still, I really liked the film, especially Venkatesh's performance as DCP Ramachandra, which is a treat to watch.
