Tokyo Sonata

I remember reading Tom Mes' piece on the film, which mentioned that the film isall the more terrifying because it is a "film about us". Few films capture the rampant dehumanisation of the individual in modern day society with such clarity. Characters come to question their own worth with a barely contained desperation, and human connection withers. Tokyo Sonata is one of the most humane horrors ever made.
