Subtle and heartfelt take on what seem to be simple relationships on thesurface but are complex when you don't express feelings and have conversations, if you are open and honest to your loved ones then they will feel like strangers to you even if you live under one roof. Its effective slow paced narrative about dealing with difficulties of handling life balance and kids makes it a very comforting watch. Joaquin Pheonix's character is complex but the more interesting character in this film was the kid. The ability to express feelings such as love and affection and sympathy is not hard, and when you do it the most difficult relationships can find a place to grow, and it's okay to be vulnerable and open, because that is what makes us human with full of emotions.
