question on basic livelihood. The film shows a lower middle class family who has sole bread earner who runs a meat shop but now he is no longer able to open it because the government bans the beef. The film very majorly focuses on family members, its core and their relationships with each other over time. How they're finally able to get out of struggling times and start to live a peaceful life but one decision sends their lives into Spiral (aani maani). For one its just a political game, for others its life and death. Performances and treatment to film is subtle and less dramatic in many moments, which was really good to see. The movie shows a sense of comfort and love even in the times of worries, but the ending just breaks your heart. And the moment where Saare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Hamara song plays in radio and dead body lying in varanda because of eating and selling beef, shows the state of country's Pseudo patriotism , Discrimination against certain community and lack of empathy among ourselves.
