Some of the scenes will really shock you and make you feel disgusted. But it's a hard hitting portrayal of oppressed muslim society in india, especially in kerala. The film unapologetically explores certain stereotypes about the kerala muslim community, religious customs, the struggle of muslim women and a story of self liberation through the life of khadeeja played by brilliant actress Kani Kusruti. I think this performance was even brilliant and hard to pull off from what she did in "All we imagine as light". This is her career best performance. This film is so raw in nature that people will be scared to watch the naked truth and accept it.
