Scam 1992 based on Sucheta dalal’s book on the Harshad Mehta scam and directed
by Hansal Mehta is probably one of the best series made for Indian audience . The writing is so sharp with fantastic dialogues . Achint Thakar’s score was so popular and his theme for the series is terrific . The biggest strength for this series are the performances especially Shreya dhanwanthry as the one who breaks the news on the scam and of course Prateek Gandhi who plays Harshad Mehta with so much suave . Though he gets really cocky when he becomes the OG billionaire but you continue rooting for him cos he comes with very limited resources and works his socks off to reach the stage and in the end you actually feel sorry for him when he falls down with a huge thud . The financial jargons are simplified as much as possible but it’s the moral conflicts and the terrific performances that keeps you hooked to the series .
