Churuli

Even though there was some initial skepticism about this film, it left me in awe and made me want more scenes of it. The detailing in this film is uncountable which makes it stand out so much better bigger and epic than any other film. Damn, what a movie depicting the toxic masculinity factors and how human behavior changes according to the surroundings and environment. The Cinematography was so beautiful. The sound design was just fantastic. I felt like I never wanted this movie to end. My favorite scene in this movie is the scene of the jeep crossing the bridge. It was shot so good and the fact that it was performed in real is just wow. The screenplay omg by Hareesh, bro was goated. Everything was just beautiful about this film. I loved this masterpiece. LJP is one hell of a filmmaker. The way they started the film by showing the short animation which was the story of the whole film is just brilliant. The supernatural occurrences and time loop or time spiral connections were just mind-blowing. The one shot where Chemban and Vinay came near the spider creating its spiral web which depicted that both of them got trapped in the spiral was just so good. In the last scene where the lights fly around and join the moon and Corbin, chemban, and Vinay fly towards the moon which depicts the restart of time and the mechanics of the clock shown together, and the aliens and the fire spirits are just brilliantly made. I had a theory where the time in churuli and the outer world may differ similar to Interstellar and the people in churuli were present there for ages, so they keep on seeing the police officers coming again and again in a loop. The main reason this film worked so well for me is that it left me thinking about or decoding what happened in many parts for hours and hours which is so joyful and interesting. The fact that the people in Churuli with that violent behavior and the use of so many cuss words by them which was depicting the real people of Churuli is just mind-blowing and shocking. This movie is a rare masterpiece that can never be made by anyone except the legend Lijo Jose Pellisery himself. One of my favorite Malayalam films ever.
