First half totally didn’t even work for me
The initial setting was great,
except for Amit ji’s younger forced fake ass looking cgi; start was great. But then the story never takes a higher rise, it’s stagnant. Prabhas’s dialogue sequences were unbearable; (I can see they wanted a Chris Pratt kinda character from GOTG, but failed). There was lot of unnecessary forced character in between which could have been easily avoided from like dq, Disha & Mrunal were not even needed in this, that screen-time could have been utilised.
Great CGI work for the environment creation, great costumes, great art direction. But as a viewer first half seems like a spiral, u don’t know what to focus on, then it becomes boring until the interval cliffhanger, that was great.
Disha and that Bujji’s voice is same ig; i thought there shouldn’t be Disha in the first place only Bujji and Prabhas screen time should have worked. That worked well in some parts; also only Bujji had a good background entry score. I was amazed like, none of the characters had that great score, like when u watch any fantasy film; take Dune for example. Giving a specific score to a specific character is important to distinguish them; it creates an aura; the score should elevate that aura. This lacked it
Second half, was actually pretty decent. VFX worked very well, like actually the progression of VFX and CGI work really peaked till end.
Yes, it’s based on Mahabharata, and basic knowledge of it will help to get the plot better. But i still believe the use of mythology in the script was very minimal; yes there were goosebump moments; but it doesn’t justify the story.
World creation seemed very Wakandaish and GOTG inspired; it’s okay not a problem. But the word didn’t feel like having any soul to it, very vague. If some time was given to establish these worlds, it would have been better.
Also, I saw this in Hindi dub, and whoever dubbed Anna Ben, wtf is that. The shit ass south India girl speaking Hindi accent😭 (basic world building of any fantasy film, you give the same ppl from a world same attire ✅ same speaking style ✅ and if possible add some gesture which only those ppl do when they meet or greet) that’s how u differentiate; unlike in this fucking everybody is speaking or acting like they are from diff diff places.
Overall, ig it’s a good attempt ngl. Impressive, story went basic.

Great special effects, it an indigestible combination of mythology and fiction.
It’s the play of the collective unconscious that never errs.

Kalki is a good attempt from indian industry for a cinematic marvel universe.
But the cliche comedies from telugu make the film fall from the great to good.
