As poetry the film does not provide simple straightforward answers to theconflicts which are in the centre. It is very vague, cryptic and unanswered, especially towards the end. The Film Leaves it to the audience to draw their own conclusions, just like any poetry. what's really bothered me here is the lack of sentimentality or seriousness around minor's rape incident which eventually leads to suicide. How the boys were gone unharmed without any consequences, and even the lack of sympathy towards the girl from parents of those boys apart from the Mi-ja who is the center of this story. I don't know if it was deliberate by the makers or it is just the way that things go around in korea, it was uneasy and triggering for me. But the ending and the poetry which is recited by Mi-ja and the school girl really leaves you emotional. It's a kind of film which is violent & disturbing in nature, but you don't feel it because of the way it is presented with the life of mi-ja and her love for poetry and seeing things to see. But Mi -ja found that it makes no one good to hide behind beautiful things when you actions are so ugly and unethical, so she decides to take a step which seems right, but also might be heartbreaking.
