Synopsis
Nora and Hae Sung, two deeply connected childhood friends, are wrested apart after Nora's family emigrates from South Korea. Twenty years later, they are reunited for one fateful week as they confront notions of love and destiny.

Streaming - VOD When you are with someone, and that person leaves you then itsnot the person who is leaving gets hurt. Its always the person who is left behind. In the three stages of life they have shown between nora and Hae sung. Every time its Hae Sung who got hurt when he was left behind, but at the end of film you will finally feel he has accepted the truth that she belongs to someone else now, but nora feels hurt and shows us that she is the one who is left behind from his world. In nora 's head when she immigrated to USA as child, Hae Sung was just a childhood friend and when they meet online after 12 years, he was just an image of an old friend talking to her. But after another 12 years when she meets him physically in front. that's when she feels the bond they shared all along. It was one single life but each stage of their lives were like past lives. The film brilliantly uses the silence between them. In so many scenes they are not talking to each other at all.. but they are conveying so much to each other in that silence. It clearly shows even in being such a chaotic city as new york, two people can find peace and solace between them, the whole world turns to mute. I really loved how the director played with silence and with the aesthetic of new York city. I was also fascinated by the idea of"In Yun" how fate brings two people together based on countless connections in their previous lives. if you are sitting and talking to stranger in this life then that to happen you must have had countless connections in past lives. It really makes you think about your own life. The strange person you are lying next to, how did they enter your life, how did you form that connection with that stranger without having any past bonding with him. It does makes an effect as this film too. On the surface level it might be an ordinary love story, but it does have a very deeper meaning to it and if you have experienced something similar then it just elevates it for you and with that brilliant direction it makes a treat to watch. And try to see this film without breaking in the middle or distraction, it demands that affection from you to return that impact it leaves on you at the end.
