Poor things is a great satirical take on human beings in this
society. I love how the director mixes realism with fantasy and takes it up a notch with absurdity. It has great deep underlying notions about human behaviour, women will power , patriarchy, social inequalities and more. And on a personal level it deals with concerns with relationships, memory and identity and self discovery. The director used Nudity and sexuality in a very clever way to normalise some of the taboo elements and a way to liberalise one's true self. Movie is based on a novel of the same name, but if you are not aware of it then it will feel like this story is derived from Frankenstein stories. All the elements in this film really make a great cinematic impact, the edgy cinematography, a caustic soundtrack; a bonkers performance, bordering on autistic, by Emma Stone, sumptuous sets shot in elegant black and white and then in colour, the vocabulary and ofcourse the sarcastic comedy. I wish I could watch this in theatres but because of bold nude content it never really released in india i guess, even if it releases it would be heavily censored, which really kills the soul of the film. It is a really great experimental film with terrific performances from every character. A must watch.

A film with so much heart. Mark Ruffalo was Hilarious. An antagonist who made so much sense. I was rooting for his character throughout the film.

Wow! This movie was so so absurd and yet real.
I was hooked through this peculiar journey till the very end while experiencing all human emotions in such a detached manner.

I always like films that deal with contemporary themes set in a unique
fictional backdrop and I liked "Poor Things". It is weird, funny and also thought provoking.
