I felt the storyline and Kareena’s character Jass was slightly modelled on Kate
Winslet’s Mare of Easttown. Jass playing a cop and a single mother is grieving the loss of her child and she moves to another town and as expected is assigned to investigate a missing teenager case. Was disappointed with Hansal Mehta cos the story was stuck in between . It was neither a proper investigation nor was it concentrating on the lead character’s loss . There were couple of scenes where Kareena got better of the material in hand and how she internalises her trauma but still stays poised while investigating the case. The final act did deliver a suspense but that didn’t carry enuf wait to deliver a worthy film . Disappointed considering the people involved ..
