Synopsis

Penguin is based on Oswald Cobb aka Penguin played with terrific screen
presence by Colin Farrell.The timeline for this series occurs after the events from the Batman movie by Matt reeves . Carmine Falcone has been killed by the riddler and he also floods Gotham . So there is a vacuum on who takes over Gotham and Oz sees an opportunity and how he goes all out to any extent trying to achieve what he wants . This obsession is given enuf depth with Oz’a relationship with his mother after his brothers die when he was young.Also Cristin Militoti just aces her role as Sofia Falcone and she is exceptional playing the scary nemesis to Oz. Oz gets a fantastic arc showing his vulnerable side but at the same time is an absolute monster . The writing with its depth for characters and at the same time creates high octane tension filled sequences to keep the viewer on their toes . Cannot recommend this enuf. Can’t wait to see what they got in store for the batman movie in 2026.
