recent years. I was really fed up with Bollywood comedy horrors which were just so stupid and unbearable. And here comes Taiwanese horror comedy which is so much fun, almost like parody and mocking the stereotypes of horror movies and common perception of ghosts. Using that they created world ghosts in order to survive from disappearing, ghosts have to scare people and go viral in their society using their scaring talents. The meta references are so good, it is a really well crafted goofy and unique horror movie. It's very clever the way the movie progresses making it more and more relevant to the younger generation. Filled with extremely clever scenarios and lovable characters. The film does great to execute both the scares and have fun with the characters and situations and that balance creates a refreshing piece of entertainment. The film also has underlying themes of finding oneself, navigating loss and grief and coming to terms and accepting yourself as it is and finding a people who loves for who you are. It's a ghostly love letter to all misfits and lonely people who think they don't belong anywhere or achieve anything!
