This is not an easy film to stomach .
It talks bout a prime time performer who gets fired cos the boss wants the ratings to soar and he wants to bring someone younger.Demi Moore is so convincing playing the aging tv star and how she goes to insane lengths to keep her image from dying. The film looks at the society’s insane obsession with ageism and plonks them with a sledge hammer . You’ve got to appreciate the director’s conviction in going the full distance to explore such a subject and it’s aided by pummelling our senses with the crazy edit pattern and sound design that’s so immersive. I so badly wanted the film to end cos this body horror genre is extremely difficult to stomach. I have no clue how people would have seen this film on the big screen and the ending portions the director goes full Monty with the creativity and something that is reeling in their heads even after its long over. I had to rewatch few episodes of office to take my mind off this film . It was that immersive .. highly recommended but trudge carefully !! Warnings served on a platter !!
