MAN OF CINEMA
This short film is homage to the kiarostami class of films.
Achal Mishra's love for kiarostami can be seen in this film in many ways. From the title to setting to actors. Dhuin(mist) is the story of 25yrs old struggling actor who is stuck in his own harsh reality and wants to break free and do better as an actor on the big stage. But its not that easy, because whichever direction you turn, all you see is mist/fog around him which puts him in dilemma, to choose a direction/path to his better life. The film is set in a quaint sleepy town that creates the perfect atmosphere for the film to leave a moody impression. It's a story of harsh reality that binds many youngsters in this country who are always stuck between two decisions. So relatable, so simple yet so effective.
