An unsettling story delivered in a way that you can’t help but go, "wow!" It'sa reaction that feels inappropriate, given the film's depiction of the ruthless arrogance of a system that treats certain lives, particular children as disposable. Yet, it's impossible to overlook the brilliance in its screenplay and performances, which keep you on the edge of your seat, not daring to blink. Every minute advances the narrative or makes a poignant statement, all without breaking the flow of the story. One standout moment is the confession scene, where Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal deliver performances that are nothing short of mind-blowing. As they confess to terrible acts, I found myself questioning whether I was cold-hearted for admiring their acting during such horrifying moments. The scene and a major length of the film has a strange way of making you care less about the system's atrocities and more about these two characters' perspectives. Inspector Pandey’s realization, paired with the Raavana getup, is a peak moment of dramatic storytelling. It deepens our connection to the characters while emphasizing the film's larger themes. As the film draws to a close, it doesn’t let us forget the harsh realities it’s portraying. It drives home the point that, in this system, anyone who isn’t in control is just a 'cockroach' - a fate the movie foreshadows early on. The ending lingers, leaving us disturbed by the cruelty of the system, which is exactly the point it sets out to make.
