The first ten minutes of PS-2 make for the best opening I’ve seen in a long,long time. However, unlike it’s predecessor in which the film’s politics and action co-existed harmoniously, the sequel is more convoluted than complex. The film is at its best when the narrative is centred around love and longing, but the plot is too overstuffed to give breathing space to any of the several subplots that are explored throughout the densely packed, 165-minute long duration. A respectable finale, but it never reaches the staggering heights of PS-1.
