usual formula and some are heavily violent. But Maharaja does many things which makes it standout from the rest of the lot. With an unusual start, Masterful trickery of writing by diverting the audience to different tracks, very strong parallel narration, which constantly makes you think about the story. It will literally make you connect the joints and always keep you guessing. It's the writing and screenplay which really makes this film an interesting watch. It's a complex web of destiny in which many characters are inter connected to each other even without their knowing. Some things you will believe that this has happened and we moved on, but those literally did not happen. The shock and surprise value is high and works like a charm. Especially the ending will leave you speechless like in the movie Iratta. It's a great climax which most of us don't see coming. And the acting of Anurag Kashyap in that climax is so so good, till that last moment when the locker is lying there in blood and it is flowing and filling the footmarks of that girl. Damn I was impressed with that. Before watching I thought Anurag Kashyap would be weaklink in this, as the movie goes along he was good enough, but in the climax he just explodes. At that moment Anurag was better than Vijay sethupati. But in the whole film Vijay sethupati was so good, keeping that poker face on not only fooling police but also the audience. He was a humble giant slayer. I loved the movie, wish I could have watched it in the theatre.
