Synopsis

As expected nothing much new or variety here.But thanks to the fact that a more dark shaded and better villian was presented here compared to beast, varisu etc. Why the villain got such importance, well u know why. But yah that individual playing such villainous acts on screen is something new. Usually actors doesn't let their image tarnish. I regret that am not a regular viewer of tamil cinema so, couldn't understand many of the references which could hav made the movie more entertaining. But i felt like,even the entire packed house had no knowledge. I was indeed surprised when no one cheered for the "head" background score(trying to avoid spoilers), the gilli reference etc. It wasn't even a multiplex, and i watched the film in the first show itself. Other problems were namely : Meenakshi's character was just for namesake, sneha has some screen space and why on earth bring trisha for an item dance? The steps were the same from gilli, but no one seemed to notice. May be they were all too tired by then. Length of the film was an issue, and did miss Anirudh a lot here. Like,there are films which were lifted by his background score. Overall GOAT wouldn't have been so tiring, if it had Ani's bgm. Overall,a typical Vijay film, with bad music and plenty of references which can work for a regular follower of tamil cinema
