A story of two individuals trapped in prison with so much unresolved issues between them. Its a story of police's revenge on a prisoner, Sons sets up a unique crime thriller within the prison where woman prison guard Eva is obsessed with dangerous prisoner Mikkel and wants to take revenge for a past crime he committed. The movie really builds up like a brilliant mystery thriller, slowly unveiling hidden intentions , motives and moralities and the urge to take justice in her own hand. Even though it's a straightforward narrative, it builds up tension and suspense in certain areas of the film. But there is sloppiness in the screenplay, which you will feel in the middle of the movie. This movie is a good example to show how unresolved trauma , guilt and grief can make you vulnerable and dangerous at the same time.
