Thalavan is a Malayalam investigative thriller film directed by Jis Joy,starring Biju Menon and Asif Ali in lead roles. The story revolves around Karthik (Asif Ali), a newly appointed sub-inspector at the Chepannamthotta police station and CI Jayasankar (Biju Menon), the house officer of the station. The pace of the film suffers in the second half, with too many subplots and characters introduced, which leads to a loss of narrative focus. Overall, Thalavan is an engaging film, mainly because of the good acting and the intriguing plot. Although it may not be a perfect thriller, it offers enough twists to keep the audience entertained. If you like police procedurals with complex character dynamics, Thalavan is worth watching.
