MAN OF CINEMA
We hear a story of snake and mongoose at the beginning of the film, and
somewhere that story acts as a metaphor in the film.
In reality neither snakes nor mongoose are dangerous to humans. What makes them dangerous or vulnerable is the surroundings they grew up in. In anuja you can assume that anuja and her sister are mongoose doing hard labour at a young age instead of doing what they desire, and the owner of that factory is a snake who is there to exploit them for his own greed. But what is that element who made these both creatures act like this, the society, it's inequality, discrimination, lack of social and financial support and lack of guidance. Anuja is a brilliant short film which shows reality as it exists in urban cities in the lives of street children and how they are exploited by the same uneducated and unprivileged people who will push other people below them for their own greed. I really loved the chemistry between the two sisters, it was so real. Loved the fact that anuja is played by one of those children from the NGO. It was very authentic, provoking and emotional.

Simple, yet powerful and metaphorical.

How an uneducated person can kill a smart person(who has the ability to think
rationally) by demeaning/belittling education in the first place and can only judge one's worth
