"Chaava is a showcase of Vicky Kaushal's phenomenal talent, but a faltering
screenplay and uneven supporting performances hold it back from being epic, making it an entertaining yet flawed film."
Chaava is unequivocally a one-man show, with Vicky Kaushal delivering a phenomenal performance that warrants another National Award. His conviction and dedication to the role are truly mesmerizing, making the film worth watching solely due to his efforts.
Unfortunately, the casting of Rashmika Mandanna feels like a misguided attempt to appeal to a southern audience, as she struggles with Hindi dialogues and delivers a subpar performance.
Akshay Khanna, on the other hand, exudes an intimidating presence, albeit with limited screen time. The legendary A.R. Rahman's score and music, however, feel repetitive and fail to add the expected depth to the scenes. Vineet Singh is extremely underrated and he impresses with his act during the climax as well.
The screenplay is also lacking, with a lazy writing style that detracts from the overall experience. Nevertheless, Vicky Kaushal shines in the action sequences, showcasing his comfort and prowess in such roles. Director Laxman Utekar delivers a worthy film for entertainment.
Overall, Chaava is a testament to Vicky Kaushal's exceptional talent, presenting a genuine story with the necessary Bollywood touch, despite some notable flaws. Vicky gives it all his sweat, but the faltering screenplay could just make it entertaining and not epic.

Yes, this movie has some technical flaws, but Vicky's portrayal of Chhatrapati
Sambhaji Maharaj is absolutely breathtaking! 🤯 Akshay Khanna & Vineet Kumar are standout performers

MAN OF CINEMA
When you make a biography, it's important to know what you are trying to
showcase. Are you really trying to show his/her life or you are trying to push a narrative to appeal

It is a film if you want to enjoy the cinematic experience, great acting, and
some amazing dialogues. But if you are going for you to tell you a story there isn’t any.

Writing & Envisionment is really bad.
So is the Technical Execution.
Sonically, it's genuinely good.
Human aspect on here wanders into exceptionalism (good).
Overall, a bad film.

While Vicky absolutely destroyed it and devoured his role, the story line left
me extremely underwhelmed. A huge spectacle to narrate hardly anything.
Heavy dialogues to say
