at least that's what i thought was happening in the beginning half an hour. Then my man Hugh Grant started butchering religions and their propaganda and compared them with monopoly and song versions. Tbh as an atheist i was really enjoying this bit of the movie, i think this was also a highlight of the movie where it sets tone for the movie and we know the motive of this werid creep man, which was really complementing with that song that was playing in background, Creep by Radiohead. But did we really know his full motive at that moment? As the movie progresses the movie shifts its genre from being a philosophical thriller to the horror genre. I was kind of disappointed at the end of the way the movie ended, but the horror elements were really good. Not just horror, but it also provides a thesis on our belief system, like we really do believe in this ideology or we have been influenced or controlled by a system which is called religion. I have always believed that religion is nothing but a cult, because only in cult you are told how to behave, what to wear, what to do, how to live, every single decision. There is no religion which does not imposes that kind of control on people who believe in those religions. I really liked the concept of the film, and the places it went with that idea. I only disliked the ending, otherwise it would have been a great movie. Hugh grant as creep weirdo is back in his glory.
