The series is based on the politics behind the partition and how things were
played out at Congress where there was an ideological struggle between the heavyweights . I felt the period and the situations was fodder for proper drama but I felt the acting and the background score was trying too hard to induce the drama . Though I liked the earnest performances of Nehru and Vallabhai Patel I felt Jinnah and Gandhi performances were slightly over the top. Still it’s a wonderful peek into our painful history and it has great production values and the earnest performances provide a lot of authenticity and the organic drama makes it very watchable . Looking forward to the next season .
