Happyend

while it talks about adolescent life, teenage angst and dilemma in youth life told through uncertainty of invasive technology which threatens one's freedom , privacy and scapegoat people for things they did not do. Happyend tries to show the life of youth under constant surveillance, pressure and social constraints, all which creates a dilemma of youth and adulthood. Whether to stand up for the right and protest or just be a suppressed voice. I felt the movie did not dwell enough into this premise of technology taking over as almost like a regime which dictates people how to live, what is the right thing to do, how to behave. The Movie barely scratches the surface. But one thing i really loved is that it comes across as an allegory that talks about social politics , uncertain future and constant imposition, but uses the story of youth who are the new generation who don't fear anything and never backs down against authoritarianism. Kind of tries to give hope for the future.
