Synopsis

How does one even start to talk about a film that in its mere 2 hour length
encompasses everything that our world represents - life, death, evolution, devolution, transformation, reformation and everything in between.
Roopantara, Written and Directed by Mithilesh Edavalath in his debut, has created art of the finest calibre. An anthology of stories that are as woven together as we are woven with the world around us.
It uses the central theme of metamorphosis in different layers, with the transformation not only being an internal one but also external with all the 4 stories being set among 4 generations of people. who have prior self transformations making them the people they are right now. but the larger narrative itself shows a bleaker picture showing the devolution of the world as we know it, where each story leads towards the transposition from the utopia that everyone hopes for to the dystopia.
