A poignant portrait of life of a young Black man, who is coming of age
throughout various stages of his life as he experiences bullying, drug addiction , false toxic masculinity and sexuality and eventually finding out at the end who he really is. That final scene is just so magical and emotional. This movie really breaks the notion of black masculinity like no other movie.
Each chapter of Chiron's life tells a different story and different perspective,every element comes together to create an experience that is unforgettable.
The Cinematography and the shots really make it a poetic portrait of a boy who was able to fit in the community he grew in and never really applied the stereotypes which were oppressed on him. Its very intimate and delicate film which you will ever see in coming of age genre.
