This harrowing Holocaust film is possibly the most different film in this list,
for it's entirely focused on the lives of characters who aren't just bystanders but very much the oppressors. But it's in director Jonathan Glazer's ability in showcasing their shameful, deplorable life, as they nonchalantly live a life of colour in the literal face of someone else's ashes, that you truly begin to understand how the brainwashing of an entire community of people can desensitise them to violence as long as it's not happening to them.
