Even though the film is based on Satyajit Ray's story and has important issues
in it like capitalism, the importance of art and artist in this Capitalistic world, plagiarism and more. But in this film those emotions and messaging don't really hit you much hard. Paresh Rawal being a gujarati really tries hard to pull off a bengali character on the screen. He does really well in some scenes but still you can see the lapses here and there. I felt the film needed more drama and intensity. But still enjoyed seeing ray's story coming alive on screen.
