This film unfolds as a grim, slow‑burn thriller that poses a heavy moral
question: when does a cold‑blooded murder (hatya) become a righteous “elimination” (vadh)? Featuring powerhouse performances from Sanjay Mishra, Neena Gupta, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Manav Vij, it nevertheless struggles to rise above the shadow of more inventive “perfect crime” thrillers. The cover‑up feels less like a masterstroke and more like a string of convenient coincidences.
For a thriller, the pacing is sluggish. The buildup lingers so long on the couple’s misery that the actual crime—meant to be the centerpiece—feels rushed and hollow. While the intention is to immerse viewers in bleak realism, the narrative often treads water, sacrificing tension for prolonged despair.
Despite its strong performances, the film lacks the taut writing and innovative twists needed to stand out in a crowded genre. It is a somber, well‑acted piece, but ultimately too derivative and stagnant to truly “kill it.”

While 'Vadh' has a lot of lazy tropes & stereotypes still in place, it manages

Slow and purposeful. Ending might be rushed but overall it's pretty good film. I recommend.
