I thought this was another american military propaganda movie and was also
gaslighted by the ratings. But this turns out to be a brilliant blend of the Terminator and Predator genre.
It was more of a survival thriller than a war movie. The fact that it stays away from any human war and blends it with fantasy and alien invasion, That's what i liked about it. We don't need more military glorifying movies, especially in the current times, people have it enough. Maybe that's why you see people hating this one too. There are some cliche elements, like the opening sequences and a couple more. But it also deals with trauma, grief and human resilience, so it's still better than out and out war movies. Also the way the movie was shot and the action sequences makes it a really good watch.
