Weapons

2025 English MovieHorror Mystery
POWERED BYJustWatch

When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.

“Weapons” is less a movie and more a 2-hour endurance test for your brain
cells, which will beg for mercy about 15 minutes in. The filmmakers clearly had no idea what story they wanted to tell—assuming there was a story. It awkwardly lurches from horror to investigation to slapstick comedy, like a drunk driver weaving across genres without a license or a map. The result? A cinematic dumpster fire that thinks it’s a gourmet meal. The so-called “plot reveal” is either missing entirely or so poorly handled that even the cast seemed confused. If there was some deep meaning hidden in there, it’s buried under enough nonsense to make “guess the plot” a more engaging game than actually watching this mess. Loopholes? Try black holes—logic gets sucked out of the film within the first act and is never seen again. Sure, the flow of the storytelling is… fine. But that’s like complimenting a sewage pipe for having good water pressure—it’s still full of crap. The glowing reviews? Don’t make me laugh. Every 4-star rating is either from a paid PR lackey or from people whose cinematic taste begins and ends with whatever bright thing Netflix throws on their screen. If you enjoyed this, congratulations: you’ve officially declared war on coherent storytelling. Watching “Weapons” isn’t just a waste of time—it’s a hostile act against your own intelligence. If bad movies were a crime, this one would be doing life without parole.
