'Kantara's storyline & screenplay are both amazingly visceral yet grand.From the very first frame, they pull you in while keeping a similar grip for most of their runtime. Where 'Kantara' falls short is it's technical execution, which is sometimes so sub-par that it almost starts to feel lazy. From it's sound effects to the stunt choreography, all seem like pure lack of effort or resources rather than craftistic mistakes. Acting, tho, by most is good with Shetty giving a genuinely haunting performance in the last few minutes. Also the make-up & look of the demigod form is very captivating. Overall a mid film, 'Kantara' could've genuinely used some technical prowess which could've improved the film by spades.
Folklore stories are always the best.This from the southern India was awesome. The soundscore and sound design was greatest. Not to be missed one type movie.
