Its not the rape incident, its the intricacies and frustrations of finding justice in an Indian courtroom even though we know who did the hideous crime. That's what makes it more gripping as drama. Even though the film is long, the drama is so strong and detailed that you will enjoy the arguments and tension it creates. Jeetu joseph really know how to make a crime drama with honesty and little bit of mystery72:T6a6,Yesterday I went with my family to watch Neru..they enjoyed it a lot..ig I know what worked for them too. But let’s breakdown, ppl saying it’s not directed well..we all have seen Jeethu Joseph as a director; and his writing is his sword can’t deny that; but I don’t agree if ppl say things only in respect to direction the film didn’t work. Coz there we some instances which I really loved how Jeethu showed; when the guy breaks into the house and the camera just stays on Anaswara without panning, showing us the helplessness as the audience we are to the blind girl. Yes I know there are parts which didn’t work out but we can’t discredit the efforts. Where it failed… When the film is only having 40 days shoot and less budget with big stars; only thing which should be made sure is that every cast members act well; even the side cast. Here it lacked a lot; the junior artists were terrible. Both sons of Jagadish omg I couldn’t see them only when they came on screen, not only them. Many were like that😭 Exposition problem When the director had to create a junior lawyer to lalettan just to explain us again what happened which we saw visually coz it’s complex; this is where the film fails; there shouldn’t be an another plot point to explain the audience twice or thrice a thing which happened visually.
